From March 1990, 2000 AD Prog 668 delivers one of the most striking covers the anthology had put out in years. Jeff Anderson's artwork places a grinning, triumphant Judge Dredd front and center, arms raised and helmet in hand, shouting "I QUIT!" — while two stunned fellow Judges look on in disbelief against a backdrop of billowing fabric. The tagline "Dredd Lays Down the Law" anchors the bottom of the cover, teasing that something seismic is unfolding inside as part of the ongoing "Tale of the Dead Man" saga, written by John Wagner.
