From the December 1987 prog comes this striking issue of 2000 AD, its cover dominated by Kano — the cybernetically enhanced, grimacing warrior of Bad Company — rendered in vivid blues and greys against a splattered, chaotic background by Brendan McCarthy. That mechanical eye, the crossed weaponry, and the sheer menace radiating from his expression make this one of the more arresting cover images the weekly had produced that year. Fans of Pete Milligan and Ewins's gritty sci-fi storytelling will find plenty to dig into as "The Bewilderness" reaches its sixth chapter.
