2000 AD #2059
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeA rain-slicked cobblestone alley sets the stage on Prog 2059, where a towering, top-hatted fiend with clawed hands looms over a small group of wary figures caught in what looks like a very uneasy negotiation. The cover's tagline — "Fiends in High Places: the cat's out of the bag as Absalom makes infernal allies" — promises that the Absalom strip is heading somewhere deliciously dark, and Tiernen Trevallion's brooding linework captures that tension beautifully in cold greys and guttering lamplight. Michael Carroll and P. J. Holden's "Black Snow Part 5" rounds out a prog that feels unmistakably like 2017-era 2000 AD at its atmospheric best.
