Prog 1692 of 2000 AD arrives with a genuinely unsettling cover by Simon Davis — a towering, spider-like alien war machine looms against a blazing orange sky, its insectoid head bristling with mechanical detail and glowing eyes as a massive weapon barrel thrusts toward the viewer. The tagline "Humanity Burns at the Hands of the Alien Invaders" sets a suitably dire tone for what's inside.
