Prog 1372 of 2000 AD, dated 14 January 2004, announces the fantasy strip Scota with a striking Clint Langley cover featuring a blue-skinned warrior woman in elaborate golden armor, a quiver of arrows at her hip and a bow in hand, standing before a great pyramid while skeletal armored figures loom through a burning golden haze on either side. The composition has a genuinely epic, mythic quality — rich color and intricate detail drawing the eye straight to this formidable central figure.
