100 Bullets #99

With only one issue left in Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso's celebrated Vertigo run, issue #99 arrives with unmistakable tension. Dave Johnson's cover is all cool menace: a determined woman raises a handgun while an American flag drapes dramatically behind her, a suited figure looms in the background, and a bloodied hand bearing the Roman numeral XIII pools red at the bottom of the frame.
