A mathematician’s reply to our recent competition article THE EXPANDING UNIVERSE by Professor Delwood In the June issue of Authen- tic Mr. Puttick claims that the Expanding Universe is not a proved fact but is only a theory. He gives his reasons why it should not be true. We will not go into the errors of his reasoning. Suffice it to say that there is a proof of the expansion of the Universe, a proof simple enough for read- ers Of Authentic to follow without difficulty. Any ama- teur scientist who wishes to debunk the expanding uni- verse must first of all pick holes in this proof.
