FOR OLD J. P. C., INC. cA heart to heart family talk Well, fellows, it looks like a Judge year. Only the other day we were talking with a vice-president in charge of seven hundred slot machines and we casually remarked that “it looked like a Judge year.” “Yeah?” he said, looking us straight in the eye. So you can see what sort of men we have behind this organization— real red-blooded executives who, like Lincoln, understand that this is a country where you can fool the people by the people, for the people and of the people. However, just because we have made a good showing, don’t stop working in there, fellow workers. We want every man, woman and child in the country to know that Thursday is the most important day of the week. Why? (Altogether now) Judge goes on sale that day! There are more copies of Judge in the Yale Club than in the province of Shantung. Think of that—we’ve got to cut down our Chinese sales resistance, men! There’s a job that needs real work by men who have their eye on the ball and both feet on the rail. Of course, we don’t expect you fellows to do the work. We're going to give you team work—real co-operation until the last compositor drops behind his machine with delirium tremens. Here’s what we promise for 1929—every time you send us the name of a prospect with the negligible fee of $5.00 (to defray overhead and mailing) we promise to deliver to his or her door 52 shiny, new copies of Judge, neatly lined with jokes and riddles. There now—let’s see you step out and make this the best year ever for old J. P. C., Inc. / a r tos '! Judge Publishing Co., Inc., ] | 627 West 43rd St, | | New York City.
