Mr. Hopkins is a producer for whom this department has a very considerable re- spect, but something seems to have happened to him lately—much to this department's sorrow. — Originally a man of keen critical sense when it came to dramatic manuscripts, his per- spicacity appears recently to have hit a floating barrel, “Salvation” is only one of a number of seedy plays that he has fooled himself into believing ood and upon which he has expended precious time and effort.
