# Analysis This page is primarily an advertisement, not a political cartoon. It promotes framed art prints titled "A Gulf Streamline Model" and "The Compleat Angler," offered by Judge magazine's Print Department for $2.25 each (or $4.00 for both). The advertisement emphasizes that these are "direct proofs in full color from the original engravings" on heavy art paper, with some options available pre-framed in gray fumed oak. The text stresses the limited availability and quality of the reproductions, noting their "rich decorative colorings" and "rare color values." This appears to be a straightforward mail-order sales pitch rather than satirical content—typical of how magazines monetized their artistic content in the early 1920s.

Direct Proofs in Full Color from the Original Engravings :: Exquisitely Matted and Framed in Gray Fumed Oak :: $2.25 each :: Send no money now “A GULF STREAMLINE MODEL” “THE COMPLEAT ANGLER” O SUPPLY the insistent demand, JUDGE reprinted a very limited number of cach of these beautiful paintings. These prints are taken in full color, direct from the original engravings on heavy art mat paper. A few of each subject have been double-mounted on heavy mats and framed under glass in exquisite 3/4” gray fumed oak frames. The photographic miniatures, above, convey little realiza- tion of the rich, decorative colorings of the originals, of their marvel- ous tones and rare color values. Only a few of each of these have been framed. While they last, JubGE will send them, carefully packed, for only $2.25 each and carrying charges; or $4.00 for both, plus a small charge for postage or express. We do not think you could buy the frames alone for much less than twice this amount. And remember that these are direct proofs from the original en- gravings. Send no money now. Simply specify whether you want one or both and pay the carrier when delivery is made. Address, PRINT DEPARTMENT, JUDGE, 627 West 43d Street, New York City. JUDGE. "Volume 4s.
