Last of all, it is very silly for women to try to get anything by the vote, be- cause they have so many better ways. Men will give us anything we ask for ifwe go after it in a truly feminine manner. Smile and look pretty, or tease, or try tears, or, as a last resort, make home hades if you have to, until yoa get what you want. But be wom- mly, above all things! And aren't these feminine ways more interesting than érpping a dirty piece of paper in a greasy ballot box? 0h, women, women, if you would only ase the means at your command and be feninine! What are facts? What are statistics? They are for the vulgar nind. A lady cares nothing for these. Her intuitions are her guide. Oh, my friends, if you would only follow your hearts, and not try to believe you had trains! If you would trust your tn- tincts and not try to reason, you would —bat, there—I can say no more.
