# Page Analysis This page is **primarily advertising** rather than satirical content. The main feature is an advertisement for **Club Cocktails** by G.F. Heublein & Bro., which includes a testimonial from "a famous Editor" praising pre-made cocktails. The illustration shows what appears to be a bartender or server preparing drinks. Below are ads for **Sackett & Wilhelms Lithographing Co.** (printing services) and **Pfraud's Violette Reine and French Carnation Pink** perfumes. The right side features railroad advertisements describing various express trains (Empire State Express, Lake Shore Limited, etc.) operated by the New York Central. No political satire or recognizable caricatures are evident on this page—it's a straightforward collection of commercial advertisements typical of Judge magazine's revenue model.

What a famous Editor says of THE CLUB COCKTAILS T sometimes drink a cocktail. In fact, I like a cocktail when towards evening the feigues ot tes dey Begta ell a ee, Some people like a cocktail as an appetizer, but every one who likes a cocktail likes a good one. For a good while I have kept in my howe, whether in the country or in town, the Heublein Club cocktails in bottles, more for . €onvenience than anything else. Ikoew they were good and I liked them, but just | why they were s0 good did not occur to me until some one, speaking of the vast quantities of these that the Messrs. Hew- blein must make in a “batch,” led me to @ this sort of reasoning. Barkeepers, and even one’s self, in mixing cocktails necessarily cannot have a uniform and - exact quantity of ingredients in each one. A few drops more or less of either ingredient greatly changes the nature of the product, In a great laboratory where quantities like the Clitb Cocktails are made at a mix- ing each article is accurately made * of measured, and the compound ts fol- lowing an exact formula, ‘This insures that each and every cocktail or bottle of cocktails put wp shall be precisely correct in its composition. Again, recalling the fact that age is necessary to the proper blending of all liquors, it occurred to me that these bottled cocktails, by the time they are used by the consumer, may have already been months, or even years, in bottle, hence that the blending must be perfect. Reasoning thus, I feel constrained to tefl my readers about it, as 1 know a goodly num- ber of them enjoy a perfect cocktail. I have found the several brands prepared by the Heublein Brothers—MANHATTAN, MARTINI, WHISKY, GIN, VERMOUTH, YORK. and PLYMOUTH—all excellent. For sale by all Fancy Grocers and Druggists. G. F.
