Eleven contestants in the sixth contest solved the whole series of forty puzzles cor- rectly, and four of the eleven persons mailed his or her complete set of answers at or prior to 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 6th—the earliest date and hour with which the sending of solutions could be credited in accordance with the contest’s rules. The first four prizes (aggregating $160.00) are therefore divided equally among these successful puzzle-solvers. The next seven prizes go to the other contestants solving forty puzzles successfully, and the remaining nine $500 prizes to those first solving thirty-nine puz- ales correctly.
