I was using a cheap kind of Shaving Soap, procured in New York. I read and heard so much about WILLIAMs’ Shaving Soap being so very cooling and healing, I decided to try it. “That was the last I heard of smarting, sore faces. WILLIAMS’ Soap did heal. “The creamlike lather drew out the soreness, and the sailors soon learned to ask me to let it remain on the face longer than usual, that they might enjoy its cooling, comfort- ing effect.
