Morir a tiempo

· 1978

This Spanish-language spy serial, "Brigitte en Acción" (Brigitte in Action), chronicles secret agent Baby's assignment to investigate renegade ex-CIA operative Jacob Gilmore in Miami. Brigitte Montfort, identified as agent N.Y. 7117, receives her briefing from CIA superior Cavanagh at Langley headquarters. Gilmore, a former high-ranking agent with multilingual skills and experience in Latin America who was captured during the Bay of Pigs invasion in 1961, has been living in obscurity for over a decade with mysterious funding sources. The CIA suspects he may have defected and now fears his recruitment of Black mercenaries in Miami—ostensibly for Angola—masks espionage for Soviet or Cuban interests. Rather than execute Gilmore, Cavanagh tasks Brigitte with extracting intelligence about his current employers, finances, and mercenary operation. The narrative follows Brigitte's arrival in Miami, where she observes Gilmore at a greyhound racetrack.
