Clark Carrados: ¡Matad, malditos, matad!

This is issue #309 of Editorial Bruguera's "Selección Terror" (Terror Selection) collection, published January 1979. The featured story is "¡Matad, Malditos, Matad!" (Kill, Damned Ones, Kill!) by Clark Carrados.

The narrative follows Stuart Emsbury, summoned to Haiti's Angel Black Island by his great-grandfather Jackson Burr Orlowe, a nearly centenarian millionaire offering inheritance to unexpected descendants. Emsbury arrives by motorboat piloted by Peius to find seven other heirs already present: the famous model Cresylla and her protective photographer August; vivacious Myrna Kahler; the pedantic Eggerton Simms; the statuesque Medora Worghis; sharp-tongued Lila Frobish; the narcissistic Rod Keeler; cautious stock agent Hal Prowels; and the heavy-drinking Grant Skinner. A mysterious heavy-set man with protruding teeth and a foul cigar completes the gathering. After an opulent dinner, Emsbury reflects on this unexpected family assembly on the mysterious, isolated island.
