"El Gangster de la Galaxia" (The Gangster of the Galaxy), by Ralph Barby, is a science fiction serial published by Editorial Bruguera in 1979. The narrative follows two parallel plot threads: In the first, the ruthless extraterrestrial enforcer Danaket—a mutated human with enhanced claws and red eyes—arrives at the Grand Casino Centauro on Frontier Planet with armed contingents from alien worlds to demand information about missing gang members from crime boss Jemmy Sincron's organization. Casino owner Tato Orlando reluctantly explains that one member was killed resisting confederal police under new governor General Borj, while the other remains imprisoned. In the second storyline, explorers Aris and Buck conduct underwater excavation on a water-covered planet, discovering an enormous diamond deposit using a nuclear bulldozer. The text depicts intergalactic organized crime, frontier governance conflicts, and space prospecting operations.
