This issue of Amazing Stories science fiction magazine (Vol. 9, No. 1) features serial and complete stories of speculative fiction. The lead serial "The Lost City" by Milton R. Peril begins its three-part run. "Terror Out of Space" by H. Haverstock Hill concludes a four-part serial. A Jules Verne reprint, "Measuring a Meridian," starts its three-part serialization. Complete stories include "The Ultra-Gamma Wave" by D. E. Winstead, M.D., exploring advanced physics; "Dr. Grimshaw's Sanitarium" by Fletcher Pratt, offering speculative fiction; and "The White Dwarf" by J. Lewis Burtt on astronomical themes. The issue includes a poem by Edward Reid and editorial commentary by T. O'Conor Sloane, Ph.D., on light and optical science. A science questionnaire tests readers' knowledge.
