# Amazing Adventures, No. 4 (July-August 1951)
This issue presents science fiction and speculative content alongside paranormal and cryptozoological claims. A featured story, "Written in the Rocks," follows Carter Mason, an Observatory worker seeking his missing father's Mars expedition fuel formula. Mysterious meteor showers land in coded patterns across America, which Carter recognizes as an atomic fuel blueprint from his father on Mars, enabling future space travel. The narrative concludes with Carter preparing for rescue and interstellar exploration.
The issue also includes illustrated accounts of allegedly authentic unexplained phenomena: a French girl displaying answers on her body, Hapsburg family death omens, spontaneous house fires, Hudson River ghost ships, hailstones bearing portraits, and animated coal. Additional features cover UFO sightings, invisible weapons, the Alaskan ghost city, and future technologies including geothermal heating and advanced television. An illustrated space colony narrative depicts sabotage attempts and uranium theft among colonists.
