This document is not a pulp magazine, but rather a U.S. Air Force UFO sighting report form (Project 10073) dated September 1962. The report documents a sighting in Fairfield occurring on September 10, 1962. The witness describes observing a light brighter than stars, solid and yellowish, with an oblong shape. The object appeared in the east and moved south, then climbed at tremendous speed while fading into the distance. Initially resembling an aircraft, the object suddenly turned and became entirely luminous. No sound was reported. The Air Force form includes extensive questionnaire sections requesting details about observation conditions, duration, appearance, motion, and witness information. Investigation conclusions note the possibility of a balloon, aircraft, or astronomical phenomenon, with insufficient data for definitive evaluation. An FBI cover letter from September 26, 1962, forwards the report to the Secretary of the Air Force.
