This document is not a pulp magazine but rather official U.S. Air Force technical documentation concerning unidentified aerial phenomena investigations, circa 1960. The material consists of: (1) a Project 1952 record card documenting a civilian observation from Sandusky, Ohio of an ascending object observed at twilight, described as bright as Venus with red-and-white blinking lights and orange-smoke trail lasting 2-5 minutes, moving westward, with official conclusion of insufficient data for evaluation; (2) an analytical laboratory report from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base examining submitted sample material using mass spectrometry and infrared spectroscopy, determining the sample to be non-homogeneous and man-made, containing finely-divided aluminum, polyisobutyl methacrylate, and bayerite compounds, with origin undetermined; and (3) a detailed U.S. Air Force questionnaire form designed to systematically collect witness observations of aerial phenomena, requesting information on timing, location, duration, visual characteristics, motion, and supporting details.
