Unknown Pulp Magazine Cover

· October 1959

This document is not a pulp magazine but rather an official U.S. Air Force record from October 1959 investigating a UFO incident near Sharon, Georgia. On October 12, 1959, witnesses reported gossamer, spider-web-like material falling from the sky for approximately two hours. Some described red pea-sized objects at the ends of web-like strands. A Georgia Highway Patrol officer observed grey-white powdery streaks on grass in his yard after mowing. Air Force investigators collected samples from multiple locations and submitted them for chemical analysis. Laboratory testing detected silver compounds—elements used in cloud-seeding operations. The Air Force concluded the material resulted from cloud-seeding efforts, possibly from industrial operations in Atlanta or Augusta, and closed the case accordingly.
