Karisruke (German pulp magazine)

· October 1958

This document is not a pulp magazine but an official military report: a declassified 1958 USAF record from Project 10073 (the Blue Book UFO investigation program). It documents a UFO sighting near Hahn Air Base, Germany on October 21, 1958, at 1755Z. The witnesses were Captain William L. Mathews (flight commander) and Captain Glenn M. Johnson (operations officer), both deemed reliable. The object appeared as a round, light yellowish-green ball of fire with a tail four to five times its diameter, observed falling straight down in approximately 1-2 seconds during dusk conditions. The report includes detailed meteorological data, observer position, and concludes the sighting might be "a night photo recce flare," though the phenomenon remains unresolved in the documentation.
