Pulp Magazine Cover, June 1958

Β· June 1958

This document is not a pulp magazine but rather a classified U.S. Air Force record from 1958 concerning UFO sightings. It documents three separate civilian observations reported on June 4, 1958, from West Texas and New Mexico: an orange object with an orange trail resembling jet exhaust near Kermit, Texas; a round object the size of a baseball with green and black markings observed near Eunice, New Mexico; and a ball of fire with a trailing flame seen near Pecos, Texas. The official analysis concludes the sightings likely represent a meteor shower visible across the region, with the possibility that witnesses observed the same phenomenon at different times. The report was prepared by Major Corbin D. Stevens of the 8th Bomb Wing Intelligence at Walker Air Force Base.
