This document is not a pulp magazine but a U.S. Air Force UFO sighting report (ATIC Form 3, revised 1953). Filed July 8, 1954, it documents an observation made ten miles northeast of Lovelock, Nevada. An unnamed observer aboard a moving train's caboose reported a round, grapefruit-sized yellow object with two reddish lights on its side, visible for approximately seven minutes at 2:45 Z (local night). The object displayed unusual wavy movement westward, remained stationary briefly, dropped several hundred feet southward, bounced vertically multiple times, then returned to its original position before fading over the horizon. Weather conditions were clear and calm. The report concludes "probable balloon" though astronomical origins were considered possible. No physical evidence or aircraft traffic was documented.
