Issue dated March 38 [sic]. "The Blacklisted Cadet," Chapter 41, continues with "Seeing Things." A messenger boy falls down stairs at Annapolis Naval Academy, claiming he was pushed by an "Indian princess" figure no one else can find. Cadets Clif Faraday, Vic Rollins, and others interrogate him skeptically. The boy delivers a letter to Faraday from a lawyer. Chapter II, "Clif Faraday's Ward," reveals the letter appoints Faraday executor and guardian of someone named "Tom" for a deceased client, Simon Ward. Faraday recalls rescuing Ward from drowning in the Severn River a month prior and recovering his lost valuables. The lawyer explains Ward died before filing complete trust details, leaving Faraday responsible for Ward's affairs. The narrative shifts from comedic cadet antics to mysterious inheritance intrigue.
