Cardamine flaccida Cham. & Schltdl.
· Collected November 1875, accessioned February 1876
This is a pressed botanical herbarium specimen, not a political cartoon or caricature. The sheet displays a dried plant — Cardamine flaccida Cham. & Schltdl., a bittercress native to the Robinson Crusoe Islands (Juan Fernández Archipelago, Chile) — mounted on archival paper with handwritten collection labels. It was gathered during the HMS Challenger Expedition by Mr. Moseley. A color calibration strip and Natural History Museum London barcode appear at left. No satirical imagery, printmaking tradition, or caricature content is present. Writing a caricature wall label for this object would require fabricating content not supported by the image.
