Vismia magnoliifolia Cham. & Schltdl. — Isotype Herbarium Specimen

· Collected August 1837; mounted and annotated subsequently at the Natural History Museum, London

This is a pressed and mounted botanical herbarium sheet, not a cartoon or caricature. Two dried branches of Vismia magnoliifolia — a Hypericaceae shrub native to Brazil's Organ Mountains — are affixed to archival paper alongside a color-calibration chart and metric scale bar. Handwritten annotations identify it as an isotype specimen from George Gardner's collection, with a 1954 determination note. The label reads Herb. Gardner, locality noted as Organ Hills, dry bushy ground. This specimen belongs to the tradition of Linnaean systematic botany, not print satire. No satirical content, figures, or caricature tradition is present or applicable here.
