Spiranthes romanzoffiana Cham. & Schltdl.

· Collected 1891, Berehaven, Cork, Ireland

This is a herbarium specimen sheet, not a political cartoon or caricature. It shows pressed and dried orchid plants (Spiranthes romanzoffiana, Irish Lady's-tresses) mounted on archival paper, collected in August 1891 near Berehaven, County Cork, Ireland, by Dr. Leitch. The sheet bears multiple collector labels from the Natural History Museum, London (Department of Botany) and handwritten annotations identifying the species. It belongs to the tradition of systematic botanical documentation, not print satire. No caricature, printmaking technique, or satirical target is present. A wall label for a comics-history exhibition cannot honestly be written for this object.
