Heliotropium transalpinum var. tiaridioides (Cham.) I.M.Johnst.

This is a pressed herbarium specimen, not a cartoon or caricature. The mounted sheet shows a dried flowering plant — long recurved inflorescence spikes characteristic of the borage family (Boraginaceae), broad ovate leaves now brown with age, and roots secured with paper strips. Labels identify it as collected by E. Hassler (Plantae Paraguarienses, no. 11754) from Paraguay Central. The Royal Botanic Gardens accession stamp appears at lower left. No satirical content, printmaking tradition, or caricature is present. Displaying this object in a political-cartoon exhibition would misrepresent both the specimen and the history of print satire it would be falsely enrolled in.
