Two of Hearts Playing Card

This card from a French deck manufactured by B.P. Grimaud of Paris features the standard suit symbols of the two of hearts—one at top center and one at bottom. The card's cream-colored stock and visible aging marks document nearly two centuries of use and storage. Grimaud was among Europe's leading playing card manufacturers during the Second Empire, producing decks for both domestic and export markets.
