Thomas Zimmerman
Thomas Cadwallader Zimmerman was born on January 23, 1838, in Pennsylvania, and died on November 13, 1914. He was a Pennsylvania German writer and translator, best known for rendering English-language classics into the Pennsylvania German dialect. Zimmerman also served as editor of the *Reading Times* newspaper in Reading, Berks County. In a later creative turn, he contributed as a writer to 15 comic issues between 2020 and 2023, most notably on the manga-style series *Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs*. His work in that period marked a unique bridge between 19th-century dialect literature and modern sequential art, though his primary legacy remains his translations and editorial career. No major awards are recorded for him.
