Shannon Eric Denton
Shannon Eric Denton is a versatile American storyteller born in Texas, best known for his work across comics, animation, and film as a writer, artist, editor, and producer. He began his comics career in the early 1990s at Image Comics' Extreme Studios, collaborating with Rob Liefeld. In the mid-1990s, he helped develop and design several action-adventure animated series for Fox Kids, including *X-Men: The Animated Series*, *Spider-Man Unlimited*, and *Silver Surfer*. His animation credits also include *Teen Titans*, *Justice League Action*, *Danny Phantom*, *Ben 10*, and *The Simpsons*, and he served as a storyboard artist on the Academy Award-nominated film *Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius*.
Denton co-created the zombie comic *Graveslinger* with Jeff Mariotte and *Fleshdigger* with Brad Keene, which was part of Top Cow's Pilot Season. He also co-wrote *Grunts* for Arcana Studios and co-created the *Con Man* spin-off *Spectrum*. In 2000, he co-founded the independent publisher Komikwerks, which later partnered with Stan Lee and AOL on digital comics. In 2020, he formed Monster Forge Productions with Steve Niles, focusing on horror content. In 2024, he published the graphic novel *Kingdom Riders* with artist Marcus To. He won the Shel Dorf Editor of the Year Award in 2011 and served as editor-in-chief of Lion Forge Comics.
