Sana Amanat
Sana Amanat is an American comic book editor and production executive best known for co-creating Kamala Khan, the first Muslim-American superhero to headline her own Marvel Comics series. Born in the United States, she rose through Marvel's editorial ranks to become Director of Content and Character Development before moving to Marvel Studios as an executive of production and development. Her editorial hand shaped key series including *Captain Marvel*, *Hawkeye*, and *Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man*, but her defining contribution came with *Ms. Marvel* (2014), where she collaborated with writer G. Willow Wilson and artist Adrian Alphona to launch the Pakistani-American teen's solo adventures. Amanat's publishing credits as writer span 23 issues from 2013 to 2018, most heavily on *Ms. Marvel*, with additional work on *Superior Spider-Man Team-Up*, *Hawkeye*, *Morbius: The Living Vampire*, *Captain Marvel*, and *New Warriors*.
