Murewa Ayodele

Murewa Ayodele, born 15 June 1994 in Nigeria, is a comics writer who has made a notable leap from small-press work to major assignments at Marvel Comics. He is best known for his collaborations with Nigerian artist Dotun Akande, with whom he co-founded Collectible Comics NG, a Nigerian comic book studio. Their early independent project, *New Men*, earned a Nommo Award nomination for Best Graphic Novel, bringing attention to their storytelling within the African speculative fiction community.

Ayodele’s path into comics began with this grassroots publishing effort, and his partnership with Akande has remained a defining creative throughline.
