Mizuki Kawashita

Mizuki Kawashita was born on August 30, 1971, in Japan. She is best known as the creator of the romantic comedy *Strawberry 100%*, which ran in *Weekly Shōnen Jump* from 2002 to 2005 and later inspired a television anime and OVA. Early in her career, she worked under the pen name Mikan Momokuri, debuting with the 1993 dōjinshi *Innocent*. Her path into comics began with self-published work before she transitioned to professional serialization.

Kawashita’s signature style blends lighthearted humor with earnest romance, often featuring ensembles of distinct female characters. Her key collaborators included editors at Shueisha, though she primarily worked solo as both writer and artist. Beyond *Strawberry 100%*, she created *Lilim Kiss*, *Akane-chan Overdrive*, *First Love Limited* (adapted into a 12-episode anime in 2009), and *Anedoki*. Her catalog credits her as artist, inker, and writer on 14 issues, with her most active period from 2007 to 2010.
