Mike Kazaleh
Mike Kazaleh is an American animator and comic artist, best known for his work on licensed cartoon titles including *The Ren & Stimpy Show*, *Futurama Comics*, and *Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures*. Born in Detroit, he was a member of the Rowrbrazzle amateur press alliance early in his career. Kazaleh’s comic work spans from the mid-1980s into the 2020s, with his most frequent credits as artist, colorist, inker, letterer, and writer across nearly ninety issues. He contributed extensively to Bongo Comics’ *Futurama* line, as well as *Cartoon Network Block Party* and the anthology *Critters*. His creator-owned series *The Adventures of Captain Jack* showcased his skill for all-ages adventure storytelling. Kazaleh also worked on *Mighty Mutanimals*, a spin-off from the TMNT universe. His style is clean, expressive, and well-suited to both humor and action, often collaborating with other animation veterans to adapt screen properties to the page. Though not a frequent award-winner in the mainstream comics industry, his steady output and versatility made him a reliable presence in licensed comics for decades. He remains active in animation and independent comics, with a career that reflects the close ties between Saturday-morning cartoons and their comic-book tie-ins.
