Lea Hernandez
Lea Hernandez (born March 11, 1964) is an American comic book and webcomic creator best known for her manga-influenced artwork and her extensive work lettering and touch-upping imported manga for English-language audiences. She co-created the series *Killer Princesses* with writer Gail Simone for Oni Press, and is the sole creator of *Rumble Girls: Silky Warrior Tansie* for NBM Publishing. Her career in comics spans from 1987 to 2021, with credits as an artist, colorist, inker, letterer, and writer across 73 issues. She is most frequently credited on titles such as *Pineapple Army*, *Street Fighter II*, *Super Manga Blast!*, *Lum: Urusei Yatsura*, and *Teen Titans Go!*. Hernandez’s style blends Western storytelling with the visual language of Japanese manga, a distinctive approach that set her apart in the late 1980s and 1990s. Her lettering work on manga imports helped bridge the gap between Japanese and American comics audiences.
