Lamar Waldron
Lamar Waldron (born 1954) is an American writer and historian whose comics work often explores conspiracy and cover-up themes. He is best known for his contributions to *Speed Racer* comics, including the series *Speed Racer* and *Speed Racer: Return of the GRX*, as well as the creator-owned series *MICRA: Mind Controlled Remote Automaton* and its graphic album. Waldron’s career in comics spanned from 1979 to 2008, during which he wrote 34 issues. He also wrote for *Visions* and *Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse Adventures*. His style blends fast-paced adventure with a historian’s eye for hidden narratives, often collaborating with artists who could match his energetic, detail-rich scripts. Waldron’s later work has focused on nonfiction books about historical conspiracies, cementing his reputation as a researcher. He has not received major comics industry awards, but his niche in genre storytelling and his transition to historical writing have made him a distinctive voice in both fields.
