Kirk Jarvinen

Kirk Jarvinen, born in 1967, is an American artist and illustrator recognized for his lively, cartoon-influenced comic book work. His career in the industry spanned roughly a decade, from 1987 to 1996, during which he contributed as an artist and inker on 17 issues. Jarvinen is best known for his collaborations with writer Peter David, most notably on the *Aquaman: Time and Tide* miniseries and the subsequent *Aquaman* ongoing series, where his clean, expressive style helped define the character's early 1990s revival. He also worked on titles such as *Der unglaubliche Hulk* (the German-language edition of *The Incredible Hulk*), *Double Dragon*, *Facteur X* (the French *X-Factor*), and the horror-themed *Leatherface*. His artwork, marked by a playful yet energetic line, brought a distinct visual personality to these projects. After his active period in comics, Jarvinen largely stepped away from the industry, leaving behind a modest but fondly remembered body of work.
