Kazuhiro "Kazu" Kibuishi was born on April 8, 1978, in Japan, and later moved to the United States, where he became a graphic novelist and illustrator. He is best known for creating and editing the anthology *Flight*, which showcased a wide range of cartoonists, and for his webcomic *Copper*, which he later collected into a print volume. Kibuishi is also the author and illustrator of the *Amulet* series, a popular fantasy graphic novel saga that has been published in multiple languages, including Norwegian editions. His career in comics began with the graphic novel *Daisy Kutter: The Last Train*, which he wrote and illustrated. Kibuishi’s art style is characterized by clean, expressive linework and a cinematic sense of color and composition, often blending adventure with emotional depth. He has collaborated with various artists through the *Flight* anthologies, though his most sustained work remains his solo projects. Kibuishi’s contributions to comics have earned him recognition as a key figure in the rise of all-ages graphic novels, and his *Amulet* series has been particularly influential in bringing young readers to the medium. He continues to work on new installments of *Amulet* and other projects, maintaining a steady presence in the industry since his debut in 2005.
