Ethan Nicolle
Ethan Nicolle is an American comic book creator best known for co-creating the wildly imaginative series *Axe Cop* with his younger brother, Malachai. Born in the United States, Nicolle first made his mark with the absurdist *Chumble Spuzz* for Slave Labor Graphics, which was collected into two graphic novels. His path into comics was shaped by a collaborative, family-driven approach, with *Axe Cop* becoming his signature work—a comic where a child’s unfiltered ideas were translated into dynamic, over-the-top adventures. Nicolle handled art, colors, and inks across multiple *Axe Cop* titles, including *President of the World* and *Bad Guy Earth*, as well as other projects like *Appalachian Apocalypse* and *Geestenburg*. Beyond comics, he served as creative director for the satire site *The Babylon Bee* from 2019 to 2021 and later worked as a scripted creator for *The Daily Wire* from 2022 to 2025. His style is energetic and cartoonish, perfectly suited for the gonzo storytelling that defines his most famous work. While major awards are not part of his public record, Nicolle’s legacy lies in his ability to channel pure, unvarnished creativity into comics that resonate with both kids and adults.
