Emily Warren
1869–1956
Born in 1869, Emily Warren was a pioneering colorist whose career spanned from 2008 to 2015, during which she worked on 36 issues for Marvel. She is best known for her vibrant palette on titles such as *Big Hero 6*, *X-Babies*, *Secret Invasion*, *Dark Reign: Young Avengers*, and the European publications *Universo Marvel* and *Die offizielle Marvel-Comic-Sammlung*. Her path into comics began in the late 2000s, when she brought a subtle, atmospheric approach to color that complemented the dynamic linework of her collaborators. Among her key partnerships were those with artists on the *Secret Invasion* and *Dark Reign* storylines, where her hues helped define the tense, shadowy moods of those events. Warren co-created no major characters but was instrumental in establishing the visual identity of the *Big Hero 6* team in their early modern appearances. She passed away in 1956, leaving behind a body of work that influenced the European reprint market and demonstrated the craft of color as a storytelling tool. Her contributions remain respected among collectors and historians of the period.
