Chynna Clugston-Major was born August 19, 1975, and is best known for creating the manga-influenced teen comedy series *Blue Monday*. Based in Coarsegold, California, she began drawing comics in 1994 and quickly established herself as a versatile freelance creator, working as a writer, penciler, inker, colorist, letterer, and cover artist. Her early career included contributions to Oni Press, *Dark Horse Presents*, *Double Feature*, and *Action Girl Comics*, where her energetic, expressive style—blending Western cartooning with a clear love of Japanese manga—stood out. She later worked for both Marvel and DC Comics, and her credits include art, inks, and letters on *Buffy the Vampire Slayer* and *Blood Letting*, as well as work on *Hopeless Savages* and *It Girl*.
