Carlo Ambrosini (15 April 1954 – 1 November 2023) was an Italian comic book artist and writer, best known for his long tenure on the horror series *Dylan Dog* and his work on the Western epic *Ken Parker*. Born in Italy, he entered the industry in 1980, contributing to various publications before becoming a key collaborator with Sergio Bonelli Editore. His signature style—detailed, atmospheric, and emotionally expressive—made him a natural fit for *Dylan Dog*, where he served as artist, inker, colorist, and occasional writer across dozens of issues. He also co-created the Napoleone series, a historical adventure strip. Ambrosini’s later years saw him revisit *Dylan Dog* in the *Oldboy* spin-off and contribute to collected editions. He passed away in 2023, leaving a legacy of moody, literate comics that influenced Italian horror and western genres. His work earned him a dedicated following among European readers, though he received no major international awards.
