Brad W. Foster

Brad W. Foster, born April 26, 1955, is an American illustrator, cartoonist, writer, and publisher best known for his intricate, whimsical pen-and-ink work and his contributions to small-press and alternative comics. He entered the field in the late 1970s, with his earliest credited work appearing in 1979. Foster’s signature style—detailed, playful, and often surreal—made him a sought-after artist for both comics and science fiction convention art. He has served as Artist Guest of Honor at several major events, including ArmadilloCon 10, Conestoga 9, Archon 35, the 2010 North American Science Fiction Convention (NASFiC), and the 73rd World Science Fiction Convention. Over a career spanning from 1979 to 1998, Foster is credited as artist, colorist, inker, letterer, and writer on 21 issues. His most notable titles include *The Adventures of Olivia*, *Mechthings*, *Shadowhawk Volume Three*, *Fever Pitch*, *Altered Image*, and *Our Story Thus Far*.
