Andrew Cosby
Andrew Cosby is an American comic book writer, film producer, and screenwriter best known as the co-creator of the SyFy television series *Eureka*. Born in the United States, he entered the comics industry in the mid-2000s as a co-founder of Boom! Studios, where he helped launch the publisher. His comic work, active from 2005 to 2009, includes writing on 28 issues, most notably the series *X Isle*, *Cover Girl*, *Eureka* and its spin-off *Eureka: Dormant Gene*, *Damn Nation*, and *Savage Brothers*. Cosby’s writing often blended genre thrills with character-driven storytelling, and he collaborated with artists such as J. K. Woodward on the *Eureka* adaptations. Beyond comics, his television work on *Eureka* earned him a broader audience. Cosby’s legacy is tied to his role in establishing Boom! Studios as a major independent publisher during its formative years, though he has not received major individual awards for his comic work. He remains active in film and television production.
