Who is Warwolf?

Warwolf is a werewolf operative serving in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s monster-staffed Howling Commandos unit, a supernatural strike team composed of Marvel's classic creatures — including Frankenstein's Monster and Living Mummy — assembled to handle threats beyond ordinary human capability.

Warwolf burst onto the scene in 2005 as part of one of Marvel's most delightfully offbeat Modern Age concepts — a supernatural spin on the legendary Howling Commandos, courtesy of Keith Giffen and Eduardo Francisco. Sharing pages with the likes of Frankenstein Monster, Living Mummy, and Vampire by Night, this character keeps genuinely extraordinary company, rubbing elbows with some of Marvel's most iconic creatures of the night. Though the run was brief, landing a spot in the All-New Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A to Z speaks to a staying power beyond the title's short lifespan — a character worth seeking out for any fan who loves the weird, wonderful corners of the Marvel Universe.
