Michiko 'Mickey' Musashi became Turbo after coming into possession of a powerful alien battlesuit that grants its wearer superhuman speed and flight. She joined the New Warriors and later took on a leadership role with the Loners support group for former teen heroes.

Turbo made their Marvel debut in the pages of Marvel Swimsuit Special #2 in 1993, courtesy of creator Manny Galan, arriving right at the dawn of the Modern Age with a splash.
