Thoth-Amon
Thoth-Amon is a supremely powerful sorcerer of the Hyborian Age, a scheming servant of the serpent-god Set whose mastery of dark magic makes him one of Conan's most dangerous recurring enemies. Originally created by Robert E. Howard in pulp fiction, he was adapted into Marvel Comics in 1971.
Few villains cast as long a shadow over the Hyborian Age as Thoth-Amon, the sinister sorcerer who slithered into Marvel Comics in 1971's Conan the Barbarian #7, conjured to life by the legendary team of Roy Thomas, Barry Smith, and the foundational mythology of Robert E. Howard himself. A Bronze Age creation with roots in pulp fantasy's deepest soil, he has haunted the pages of Conan the Barbarian and King Conan for over five decades, sharing that blood-soaked world with Conan, Red Sonja, BΓͺlit, and King Kull. His relatively selective appearances only sharpen his menace β this is a figure whose presence carries genuine weight whenever he surfaces. For any fan serious about Marvel's sword-and-sorcery era, Thoth-Amon is essential.
